Love them or hate them, these days adverts seem to rule the box and some of them are not at all bad. Funny, clever, weird or just good, they often feature inspiring tunes that set the mood and capture an emotion, whilst intuitively telling the story.
Silva Screen’s collection features some of the best appropriated music whose original source is mostly big film soundtracks. The album includes the cult music from Bullitt (Ford Puma), classic Lawrence of Arabia Overture (Castlemaine XXXX), John Barry’s Midnight Cowboy (Dulux) and Bill Conti’s funky 70s score Rocky - Gonna Fly Now (118-118). The collection also features some of the classical music favourites such as G.F.Handel’s Lascia ch'io pianga (Harrods), Eric Saties’ Gymnopedie No.1 (Bournville Chocolate) and Carl Orff’s O Fortuna (Old Spice).
