Shore continues to distinguish himself with a wide range of projects, from Martin Scorsese’s The Departed, The Aviator and, Gangs of New York to Tim Burton’s Ed Wood, Jonathan Demme's The Silence of the Lambs and Philadelphia to Chris Columbus' Mrs. Doubtfire. In 2002, Shore won his first Oscar for Best Score and a Grammy Award for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.
